Artist’s Statement

I presently work in watercolor on paper. It has inspired me to create compositions that explore color, movement, and light. Combining some newly applied techniques, each painting offers me the opportunity to freshly explore. I sometimes create faint images in advance onto the paper or by directly applying shapes, lines, and color. The results in either the silk painting medium or watercolor are most often both playful and unpredictable.
